Tanzania’s three most iconic parks in one smooth, efficient loop.
Depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s third-largest park, famous for its ancient baobab trees and some of the largest elephant herds in Africa gathered along the Tarangire River. A full-day game drive reveals lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, and zebra, with a picnic lunch out on the plains. Dinner and overnight near Tarangire.
Depart Tarangire and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area into the legendary Serengeti, arriving in time for an afternoon game drive across the Seronera Valley — home to resident lion prides, leopards draped over sausage trees, and abundant plains game. Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti.
A full day exploring the Serengeti’s diverse terrain — riverine forests, granite kopjes, and open grasslands — with the Seronera area’s resident predators offering some of the most reliable big-cat sightings on the entire circuit. Picnic lunch out on the plains.
A second full day in the Serengeti, with morning and afternoon game drives covering fresh ground — cheetahs on the lookout from termite mounds, elephant herds moving through the woodlands, and sundowner drinks at a scenic viewpoint as the light turns gold.
Depart the Serengeti and climb into the Ngorongoro Highlands, arriving at a lodge on the crater rim in time to watch the sun set over one of Africa’s most spectacular natural amphitheaters. Dinner and overnight on the rim.
Descend 600 meters onto the crater floor for a five-hour game drive — home to around 25,000 large mammals including the Big Five and the endangered black rhino, with flamingos gathering at Lake Magadi. Ascend back to the rim before the drive to Arusha for your onward journey.
